The second trial for an El Paso police officer is underway in the 120th District Court.
Mando Kenneth Gomez is facing one manslaughter charge for shooting and killing Erik Salas-Sanchez in 2015.
Gomez was tried in February, but after a prosecutor collapsed in the courtroom, the judge declared a mistrial.
