As I sit down to write this message to keep everyone informed, my thoughts seem to always return to the difficulties that we have seen as a family during the month. Everything other than that just seems to be of so much less importance right now. During the month of January we lost two of our own.
A lot has been going on in our world lately and I’m not just talking about COVID-19 and protests and the like. Several issues have come to the forefront that I have been working on. Luckily, I’ve seen success with them! Some time ago the city notified me that as of October 1, 2020 your union dues would not be deducted from your pay.
I find it hard to imagine a life doing anything else but protecting my Family in Blue. The past ten years as your President have flown by and I have yet to accomplish all of my desires for this fine association when you elected me as your President in 2009. The current board has done an outstanding job working together as a team even with all the current departmental problems.
Dear Family in Blue,
I would like to thank all of you that attended the First Responders Night at the El Paso Chihuahuas on Saturday, June 20, 2015. I really want to thank our EPMPOA Home Run Derby Team for spending 3 to 4 hours in 100 degree weather to represent the Association.
