The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of retired Captain Roger W. Miller #281, who passed away in Lucas, Texas on June 29, 2018, at the age of 84.
(Ret.) Captain Miller served the El Paso community as a peace officer for 22+ years. He was commissioned by the El Paso Police Department on May 22, 1956 and retired on September 12, 1978.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Lucas, Texas. For additional information contact Elain Miller at elainbmiller@msn.com.
Locally, at 7:50 AM on Thursday, July 26, 2018, the El Paso Police Department Honor Guard will raise a U.S. Flag at Police Headquarters, 911 N. Raynor St., and will fly the U.S. Flag for 24 hours in honor of Retired Captain Roger W. Miller.
On Friday, July 27, 2018, at 7:50 AM, the EPPD Honor Guard will lower the U.S. Flag and will fold it. The flag along with letter of commendation from (Ret.) Captain Miller's personnel file will be sent to his wife Elaine.
