The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association is sponsoring a "Wing Drive" lunch to benefit Region III (PHRCC) Officer Patrick "Fish" Martinez #2421 and his family. This event is to raise money to assist with medical expenses and other unplanned expenses resulting in a financial hardship for the family.
Officer Martinez was struck by a motorist while performing a Motorcycle Escort for a funeral procession on May 17, 2019. He sustained a compound fracture to his left leg and has undergone several surgeries and is scheduled to have another lengthy surgery on July 29. Officer Martinez has been out of work since the day of the crash and is expected to be out of work for at least 6 months.
The wing drive will take place on Friday, July 26, 2019 starting at 11:00 AM, at the Pebble Hills Regional Command Center Conference Room.
The wing drive lunch includes Jesus "Volcano" Herrera's near-world-famous wings, a side dish and a drink. Please stop by and be generous with your donation to assist a brother in blue and his family.
If you can assist by providing a side dish, please contact Officer Jesus Herrera or Christel Chavez at the Pebble Hills Regional Command Center.
In addition to the "wing drive" we remind everyone of a GoFundMe page to further assist Officer Martinez and his family. Click on this link and donate whatever you can.
We ask that you please keep "Fish" and the entire Martinez Family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.
