The Inaugural Officer David Ortiz Memorial Bike Ride will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at David Ortiz Recreation Center (formerly Carolina Recreation Center). Early bird registration is $25 (by October 19) and $30 on the day of the event. The first 50 registrants will receive a free T-shirt. Click here for the link to registrer online.
Onsite registration and packet pick-up on the day of the rides will be from 6:30 to 7:30 AM. Both the 15 and 50 mile rides will start at 8:30 AM. There will be breakpoints with refreshments between 8 to 10 miles and a complimentary lunch at the park for paid riders. Meal tickets for non-participants are only $3.00.
About The Ride:
The parents and siblings of Officer David Ortiz, who was killed in the line of duty on March 14, 2016, are humbled to commemorate this event with great respect and pride. This bike ride is to honor and support the Officer David Ortiz Foundation. Join us for a 15 or 50 mile bike ride to raise money to help rebuild the lives of parents and siblings of fallen officers, through multiple means of support including scholarships, counseling, etc. For additional information on the Ofc.
