The “El Paso Cops Helping Kids” program is getting ready to host another back-to-school shopping event to help underprivileged children in our community!
The event will take place at 8:00 AM on Saturday, August 29th, at Wal-Mart, 1850 N. Zaragoza Rd. El Paso Cops Helping Kids would like to thank our sponsors for providing coffee, donuts and food for the early morning event, and of course the wonderful staff and management at Wal-Mart for their support.
Selected children from underprivileged families in the Socorro Independent School District will be partnered up with an El Paso Police Department officer from each Regional Command Center and Headquarters, who is volunteering his or her time for this worthy cause. Together they will then pick out clothing and school supplies… just in time too, because school has just begun in the Socorro School District.
Several local businesses and individuals have made donations for this year’s program, but you can still help. Thank you for your generosity.

From the El Paso Cops Helping Kids program, we hope everyone has a safe and fun-filled school year!
